Garage Band is an incredibly powerful app from Apple which allows you to create music on almost any instrument and create songs/tracks and live loops by editing the instruments together. There are loads of ideas for what you can do from Apple's 'Everyone Can Create' resources and if you go on Twitter, there are plenty of ADE's (Apple Distinguished Educators) who can provide support. The app is great for also recording voice audio and providing soundtracks for your media project.
