Jessie and friends is a new resource from ThinkuKnow. There are 3 videos which are aimed at 4-7 year olds. The online safety scenarios focus on worries that children of this age might have about the internet. There are no interactions with strangers online but the videos highlight the importance of what isn't appropriate behaviour and where to go for help.  The 3 videos themes focus on 'Watching videos', 'Sharing pictures' and 'Playing games'.

Tutorials & Lesson Ideas

1. Watch the videos and discuss as you watch. 

2. Sequence the stories.

3. Roleplay the scenarios with their own friends.

4. Complete the activities in the story books.

5. Sing the song. 

6. Pretend to take a selfie and have multiple copies printed out. Then share the photo with one child. They then share it to all the others in the class by passing the multiple copies round the room whilst every child always keeps their copy. This is a great way to show how quickly and easily photos can be shared.
