About
Puppet Pals is a really engaging app that can be used for simple animation or as story planner in English. In the free version, you have a choice of 4 fairy tale backgrounds (a castle, a field, a woods and a cave) and 8 fairy tale characters including a princess, a knight, an evil with and a dragon. In this app, you can animate where the characters movie to and record audio, however, they don't move their mouths or body parts. The characters are placed on a stage and you can move them around, move them off, change the background and enlarge or shrink them. In the paid version, you can download more characters and backgrounds from different themes and you can insert your own background, such as your classroom or the children can add themselves in as characters as the app connects to the iPad camera. You could even photograph a character from the book you are using and animate that story. The animation then saves as a video.
