About
Reverse Movie FX is one of a collection of apps I use for a Year 5 Digital Creativity topic on Video Editing. In this lesson the children use Reverse Movie FX to create a series of tasks that when reversed appear like magic! The idea is children walking backwards and rubbing out writing on a whiteboards will end up with them walking forwards and then miraculously making writing appear on a whiteboard without a pen. The app is incredibly quick and easy to use. Editors are given the choice to either record their video within the app or import one. This is particularly useful if the video imported already has other effects on it from other apps. Editors have options with the output for the video to be only reversed or reversed with the original. They can also crop a section of the video if they wish. There are about 10 basic filters they can add onto the video including Sepia and Greyscale. They can also choose to mute or include the audio and there's about 15 music/sound effect options to add on top. There is an option for exporting in HD Quality but this is in in the upgraded paid version. Editors finally simply press 'Start reversing' and they can watch and then download the video in reverse.
